Congratulations to Ethan Haehn son of Jason and Kristen Haehn who received the Annual Marvin Faber Scholarship Award. This scholarship is for service, leadership and academics. It was initiated in 1990 in memory of the late Marvin Faber, who was a firm believer of Christian education and who spent many years working with the children at Sts. Peter, Paul & Michael School now known as All Saints Academy.
Thank You! Our Catholic Communities are extremely pleased to announce that through the generosity of the Catholic Foundation of the Diocese of St. Cloud, the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul have been bountifully blessed with donations though the Living the Promise Grant. Our Faith Formation program received $950 and All Saints Academy received $1,750. We are extremely grateful to the Catholic Foundation for bestowing such a wonderful gift upon our Communities.
The Catholic foundation is a non-profit organization that acquires, manages, and distributes financial gifts and bequests in service to the Catholic community and parishes of the Diocese of Saint Cloud. Please pray for those that serve on the board and the continued success of the Catholic Foundation.
KC Council 5548 Events
The two new ultrasound machines have been received in both of the Pregnancy Resource Centers. Father Bob Rolfes blessed both machines on Friday, June 19. Thanks again for helping us serve our community and save the lives of the unborn.
Due to COVID-19 the Welcome Center at St. Peter’s Church will be closed until fall.
MAINTENANCE AND CUSTODIAL POSITION OPEN: The Church of St. Peter is accepting applications for a Maintenance and Custodial Position. The position includes 30-40 hrs/wk with benefits. The person applying must have mechanical skills, basic computer skills, able to manage flexible hours, and be able to lift at least 40 lbs. as well as cleaning. Boilers License preferred or willingness to obtain a boiler’s license. Position includes overall maintenance of the church facility, overseeing security systems, working with contractors, dusting, cleaning bathrooms and floors, setting up tables for funerals, lawn mowing, trimming, snow removal, etc. Wages are negotiable. Position will start early this Fall 2020.
St. Michael News
Red Cross Blood Drive
There will be a Blood Drive on Monday, July 6 from 1-7 pm at St. Michael’s Church. Please mark your calendars. Call Marguerite Krey for an appointment time at 252-5613. All donors need to wear masks. If you don’t have one we are happy to provide one for you. We will also have to do a temperature check when you arrive. Other than that, it is business as usual for the donation. No Walk-ins accepted.
Ministry Schedules:
We are in the process of updating our Ministry Schedules for St. Michael’s. Hopefully, we will have those out in the next week or two. If you are currently scheduled for the Saturday 4:30, and have not contacted us with any change, we have not changed your time. However, for the Extra Ordinary Ministers, we are only using one Minister and that has been the sacristan. We will keep you posted on the changes as soon as we can.

Mass Intentions - St. Joseph’s Church has openings for Mass intentions in the upcoming weeks Your $10 donations could be used as a Mass for your deceased loved ones, someone who is living, special intentions or special needs. Stop by the parish office Monday or Wednesday from 8:30-11:30am, mail a check with your intentions to the office, or drop it in the collection on Sunday. Be sure to indicate for Masses and the intention on the envelope. THANKS!
Know that we will also be moving all the Masses that were scheduled at 9 AM to a different scheduled Mass time. We will be giving you a call with the changes. Thank you for your cooperation.
St. Joseph Ministry Schedule
We have sent out a ministry schedule for St. Joseph 7:30 Mass time, which started this weekend, July 4 & 5 and goes through September. If anyone is interested in helping with the ministries at the Mass, please call the parish office and let the volunteers know. Thanks!

Online Vacation Bible School: CAMP CREATION

“Camp Creation, Day by Day with God,” a free online Vacation Bible School, is being offered for parishes and families in the diocese of St. Cloud during the week of August 3-7. It will be an ‘asynchronous’ experience — those who would like to participate may join in from 9 a.m. to noon each day during the VBS week or whenever they wish, after the activities have been posted. It will be hosted at http://familytogether.stcdio.org/. There is no need to register. Written and/or compiled by faith formation staff from around the diocese, the family activities are based on Genesis 1. Printable resources will be available for those with limited internet access by calling Catholic Education Ministries at 320-251-0111.

ACC (Area Catholic Community) Social Ministry Activities and Invitation to Service. . . .
This column is a continuation of the June 1-14 report from Harry Fleegel of Homeless Helping Homeless (HHH). Last week’s information related to the motel sheltering program; this week’s focuses on those of our fellow citizens who are still “on the street.”
On the Street Things here have not been so rosy. Lack of access to food and hygiene has taken its toll. Depression, chemical abuse, domestic violence has increased as resources have become scarcer. As people become more desperate to find a place to sleep, food to eat, and places to wash up, abuse increases. If you are starving, the temptation to get whatever you can from whomever intensifies. Sadly, the victims of this desperation are too often other folks experiencing homelessness or one’s own family. Dumpster diving for saleable valuables or even food is now common, sending some to the hospital with food poisoning. Ambushing of food shelf recipients in order to steal their rations is happening. Frustrations often lead to fighting and arguing and abuse. The sense of hopelessness exacerbates psychological trauma. Chemical addiction can seem like the only way to get relief.
Many in our community are working to alleviate some of this suffering. The food shelves are doing what they can as are those organizations distributing food bags to those in need. You who have donated time and money to the Lake George hot meal program sponsored by HHH, Neighbors to Friends and Catholic Workers have provided over 420 meals the past two weeks, thank you. You have also assisted one person who was unsheltered, not in a motel, to get into an apartment.

Asylum Seekers: As we celebrate our freedoms on the Fourth of July, please remember our brothers and sisters who are in asylum camps – hoping to escape to the United States from violence, including murder, in their own countries. Please research and respond before July 15 (the public comment period) to Proposed Rule: Procedures for Asylum and Withholding of Removal; Credible Fear and Reasonable Fear Review, 85 Fed. Reg. 36264 (June 15, 2020). You are encouraged to offer your comments in support of people seeking asylum in the United States who are waiting in camps until their cases can be adjudicated. The proposed rule would severely restrict their pathways to freedom.
