A Note From Fr. LeRoy
Now that Labor Day Week end is past, our Catholic Community of Schools (as well as our public schools) are in full swing. Kids are back in class, teachers and staff are busy at work, and parents can now settle down into regular routine during the new school year. This said, we want to welcome back our returning students and families who were with us here last year at All Saints Academy, St. Cloud as well as those new students and families who are just coming on board with us!
Here at All Saints Academy we have a tremendous opportunity to affect our children in positive ways in Christ. A child's education (especially in those formative years of grades Pre-K thru 5th ) are so important for their mental, emotional, academic, and spiritual well-being, so it's crucial that we do it right! As a Catholic School we are blessed to be able to form our children both mentally and spiritually as well. You can't do that in a public school system, although public schools have some of their own merit as well.
For those who do not know (and for those who might be a bit confused) All Saints Academy School (ASA) is actually one Corporation which consists of two separate schools: 1) All Saint Academy , St. Cloud Campus, and 2) St. Joseph Catholic School in St. Joseph MN . We work together and even share some resources and programs and staff. Both schools are responsible for their own fund raising, budgets, and finances which, when combined as one ASA Corporation, makes us both financially and academically stronger together than if we were apart, This year we are happy to have Mr. Karl Terhaar as our returning Principal at our ASA- St. Cloud campus while we want to welcome a new Principal, Ms Peggy Frederickson at ASA- St. Joseph.
Our student enrollment is holding steady with a slight increase in some areas which we are fortunate to have. This School year 2022-23, all our 6th grade classes have moved to the New Cathedral Middle School (grades 6-8th) located on the CHS campus. Enrollment numbers there seem to be holding as well.
I want to thank all those who support our Catholic Schools and especially those who support our own All Saints Academy here in St. Cloud. We have many volunteers and generous financial donators who help our families and students get the Catholic Education they want.
If you have not signed your children up with ASA, please consider doing so. It's never too late to join us! If you would like more information, feel free to call the ASA Main Office at: 320-251-5295 or email us at:
admin@allsaintsmn.org or check out the website at: http://www.allsaintsmn.org for more details. Our principals would be happy to give a tour for any potential families or answer any questions.
So, here's to a healthy and exciting new Fall year as we ask God's blessings upon ASA students, staff, principals, and parents as we embark on a new year of learning in Christ. Peace!
Fr. LeRoy Scheierl
